Meyersdale Public Library's Countywide Cemetery Location Resource Project found more than 580 cemeteries in Somerset County in the last 3 years.

Cynthia Mason, genealogist at the library, along with Carolyn McKinney and Barry Christy, both of Meyersdale, worked together on this project. McKinney traversed through woods, fields, through creeks to find the hidden obscure cemeteries. Christy took the information and organized the chaos into an easy-to-use data CD.
